Mcmahon was a class player, pity we didn't improve his wages, same old story went elswhere and shone, should have kept him he and his family are all blues.

I know he wanted wage rise, don't know anything of it to do with david johnson,no matter should have done more to keep him.

johnson wash a fuken joke who was the highest earner at the club at the time ,mcmahon was on peanuts compaired to him ,thats why he left

McMahon went up in my estimations when he was manager of Blackpool, when he found that the players couldn't even keep their drinks cool at the training ground he went out himself and bought a fridge from Comet or somewhere. He was very much up against it in a similar way to Peter Reid at Plymouth.

Just the thought of having him and Reid bossing the midfield, in those days, makes me wanna cry.

We had him and we let him go.

Paul Bracewell didn't do a bad job tho did he ?
And besides, if I remember correctly most of the money we got for McMahon was given to Burnley for one Trevor Steven. Great business I think. (y)

David Johnson BTW is just another foul mouthed scumbag who frequents the "Tom & Jerrys" pub in Ashton in Makerfield.
A truly obnoxious man.
