I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple's brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

I am sure his sticky little fingers will remain in the pie. Should be interesting to see if Apple make a big announcement soon.
 
You know, my PC had no problem posting the letter he put out.

And he is staying on now as Chairman of the Apple board. Apparently he has been on Medical Leave since January only coming in briefly to do the iPad2 launch event and some dinner with Obama in Silicon Valley. Other than that, he hasn't been doing his job for a while.

You know, I remember when you were anti-Apple. Then you went all 'Ghost' and have gone a bit gay now. You have stopped posting girls in the fit birds thread and you get all uppity when ever some says they don't like Apple.

I miss the old McBain :(
 
No doubt apple will have another bub waiting in the wings to peddle their under powered over fiddly,over priced tech very soon.

Haha can't argue with that.

Without flip flopping Nik Style, I was coerced into this thing because of work. Every bloody idiot here uses mac and poo poo's PC. It's really because they are either can't use PC's or they are much better for this gig. Rather than be the odd man out and risk not getting work, I've had to go in balls deep.

As for the fit birds... yeah I forgot about that!
 
I know mate, just giving you some stick :P

Just remember, an Apple Mac is just a PC in some trendy clothes running a different OS. And cost 1.5-2 times more ;)
