From ToffeeWeb;

Clarke lined up as Moyes's No. 2

With the axe falling on Avram Grant at Chelsea, his Assistant Steve Clarke is also expected to be part of the clearout at Stamford Bridge. Uncorroborated rumour has it that Clarke could be brought in as David Moyes's No. 2 at Goodison Park.

Would be well happy with that. He's a top coach by all accounts, an has been around top managers an players. A deffo yes from me...(y)

i'd seriously be over the moon with that, mourinho and the chelsea players rate him highly, he'd be very good for us i think

We need a assistant manager who will be close to the players and Clarke seems to be that.

If we get clarke we would be hard pushed to make a better signing this summer. The bloke is class personified. He would bring so much professional support to the Moyes revolution.

Clarke has played a central role in taking Chelski to the Champions League final and to the brink of an unlikely Premiership crown, after the unpopular Avram Grant gave him free rein to train and coach the players. Can't imagine that Clarke would settle for a no 2 job again after that.

He has European experience and big game experience which i think is the most important thing we need from a number 2 at the moment so he would be a good choice.

Mourhino was seriously impressed with him, seems to be a victim of to many cheifs and not enough indains at Chelski.

I see Davey Weir has also been linked, i can see stubbsey coming back in some capacity too.
