Quizzing the science behind Evertons apparent lack of good fortune in finding significant financial backing / take over . It was suprising to hear someone with no obvious connection speak so warmly about our club . I personally have always thought he was a mad character albeit an intresting one but listening to him tonight there is no doubt he knows the game very very well .

He put forth the point that he thought Bill Kenwrights comments about searching high and low with no buyer being out there with significant clout to make a deal happen very odd when in the same time period a take over happens to such an unlikely club such as Notts County who then go and bring in a former England manager and players , apparently with money to burn .

He also said compared to other clubs taken over such as Manchester United & Liverpool even Newcastle United we are in nowhere near enough debt as those aformentioned clubs or atleast we are being told we are not . Infact , he said , we are actually operating at a profit . With a manager of proven track record of making good players great players , a fantastic loyal support , a majestic history & traditon & the potential to kick on and really go that next step YET whilst other lesser clubs ( His words ) such as Spurs & Sunderland come into vast sums of cash relatively easily . He also said he was not having that the stadium issue is a stumbling block so big it would put of buyers from such a fantastic opportunity such as Everton FC one the greatest ever English top flight football clubs .

It suddenly hit there & then that we really are being run by someone who is prepared to hold the team back for whatever financial reason even to the extent of that leaving the manager who he protests to love with no option but to resign . I fear we are going to Kirkby whether we like it or not come hell or high water . We are even clearing land as I write this . I fear nothing is going to stand in the way of the very thing that would kill it all for me .

Is Bill Kenwright evil ? Tonight I honestly dont know . Stanley Collymore is mystified and so am I .

His words ahem and I quote " Ive always had a soft spot for Everton even when I played for Liverpool , when you play at Goodison you know you are playing one of the greats of English football " High praise indeed coming from an ex-red

Kenwright is a utter CUUNT!!!!!!!

Dont care what the ken-lovers say. If your happy he's incharge of this club, then your head must be firmly up your arse.

I thank him for what he done in the past, but for the last 4 years he's slowley killing us....

Please for our sake Mr Kenwright Will you sell up an go.

He's understands the game and he speaks his mind, I've always been impressed with him (as a pundit) and he does have a soft spot for Everton.

I am afraid I have to agree with you . Its clear and I dont think anyone can argue that he does love the club as much as any Blue . But its obvious he is blinded by that love so much so that we are now standing still or even going backwards because of it . Listening to Collymore was intresting because it wasnt like listening to a group of angry Evertonians veins bulging out the side of the head screaming blue murder . It was a logical argument from a genuinely mystified outsider who could not for the life of him work out just Everton of all clubs hadnt been snapped up .

The words, head, nail, and hit come to mind

I've been thinking this for a while, even if i'm not vocal about it

So what do we as fans do about it?

Start a petition?

Demonstrate outside Goodison?

We will not do any of these things i'm afraid, and will carry on blindly following Kenwright into the Abyss.

Evil is not a word I would have used about him before tonight, but what he is doing to our club is pretty close to that.

Shame his decided to play for the shi*e rather than everton when he had the choice - tho I hated him for a very long time for this - he comes across now as an amiable chap and what he is saying tonight is what every evertonian has been saying for years.

Well I've said it time and time again, wait to see what happens with Kirkby. I have had it on good authority from more than one person that there is a buyer in place, but the price is dependant on whether or not they have to buy a new stadium or redevelop one.

Collymore is decent pundit, but that's all he is, a pundit. He watches football like us but I doubt he speaks to the right people or listens to the right noises, as why would he? Everton is not his concern, but it is ours.

The stadium issue is the stumbling block, make no mistake about it.

If nothing happens after the decision, then I will grab my pitchfork and march with the rest of them, as that would be the final straw it seems.

i listen to him on the way home from games as well, he was at Goodison quite a lot last year. doesn't mind givin' the r/s a fair bit of stick as well.
did they have any callers ? cos l.c.a.b. is a regular on there

because kenwright will not sell thats why the last two years made decent profit and plenty of sky million but spent no money on players just sold players and spent what he got from players sold he is holding us back :@

If that's true, then we should all want DK to get called in

We get a new buyer, a redeveloped stadium, Kenwright out AND he doesn't get as much money anyway.(y)

When is the decision BTW?

I've just had a bit of a rage come on

ITS SO UNFAIR

WHY ARE WE THE ONES LFT BEHIND ALL THE TIME

JUST ON THE WHIM OF A STUPID OLD MAN WHO WANTS TO MOVE US TO A CRAPPY STADIUM SO HE CAN MAKE MORE MONEY.

I DONT WANT IT NOR DO WE NEED IT

THE GUYS A STUPID PRICK

KENWRONG OUT!!!

*turns off caps lock*

p.s. I genuinly meant that, i'm now in the Kenwrong out camp

November I believe, and Kenwright will not get as much money as you think. he probably won't even give up his shares, he will still be chairman - that is what I am led to believe, and why Moyes took so long to sign his contract, as he wanted assurances that Kenwright would not be ousted.
