Squad Members without numbers

Chimpy Glassman

Player Valuation: £30m
So, we have four members of the squad who have failed to convince Koeman.

1. Aidan McGeady - completely obvious he was never going to cut the mustard.

2. Leandro Rodriguez - was a punt on a nominal fee.

3. Luke Garbutt - showed potential but perhaps not up to Premier League standard.

4. Omar Niasse - Unequivocally the most disastrous signing and an indelible stain on Everton Football Club.
Don't get me wrong, I bear the lad no ill-will but you could tell he had no idea what was going on from the moment he stepped foot in the ground. (Remember that odd canter around the middle of the pitch, yeah.)

Along with those four, I'm fairly certain our current whole central midfield is up for sale too.

So the question is - what do we do with them? And who on earth can we convince to buy them? Do we release them? Or just stick them in the reserves?

It is abundantly clear this is a huge re-structuring job and it's a bloody good job we've got some cash to spend otherwise we would be in massive trouble.

McGeady just cancel his contract

Rod, Same

Garbutt I think we can get at least 6m for

Niasse is the toughest one, Who's going to pay 50k a week for the lad

Not being given a number is effectively a huge green light that we want rid and likely wont be too picky if the offers even semi decent.

fair few others have likely been shifted number wise or kept them that we will sell though, or loan out

1. Aidan McGeady - Champ Club will take him, even if it means paying half his wages. Get rid.

2. Leandro Rodriguez - He has UAE/Qatar written all over him.....even Straq got a deal here.

3. Luke Garbutt - Shame he didn't really shine last season on loan....to think plenty (myself included!) were fretting he wouldn't renew. All the best, but on your way. Champ level.

4. Omar Niasse - Saw him during the Dubai camp, after training he stayed on the pitch as they fired crosses in to him to either head or volley in. Out of about 20 he scored 2....without a keeper. If we get ANY money back on him we have done well.

Along with those four, I'm fairly certain our current whole central midfield is up for sale too.

Gibbo - He is made for Hull, or even Sunderland.

McCarthy - certianly feeling the pressure.

i thought id seen some terrible everton signings over the years but everything about niasse just stunk...i felt sorry for straq because he clearly lacked the quality but made up for it with 100% effort.

Niasse played football like your mates bespectacled unco-ordinated cousin who came along to your under 10's football training as a kid because he was up visiting family for the weekend.

I stand by my thoughts that garbuttis a very good player. Lack of opportunities here has harmed general perception of him but I think he will have a very good career in this league either here or elsewhere.

Considering Barkley didn't impress on loan in the championship either it isn't really a marker for how good they are.
