Spurs

To be fair I think you'll find it matters quite a lot to the Everton supporters too regarding Everton's trophyless years. It is the largest of many many problems we have.
Not at all. The past is dead and gone, can't be changed. Our biggest problem is here and now. We'd gladly trade in all of it for what Spurs have now.

There are lots of teams that have won very little in a very long time.

But it only matters if it is Spurs (apparently).
If you renounce your membership in the "Big 6" we can lower that standard. But if you are getting the benefits of the media love in you have to take the scrutiny too.

Media love in? Realy? They have been talking Poch to anyone else for the 2 seasons before this one (too good for us). They have been trying to sell Kane & Eriksen & others for the same amount of time (too good for us). They go on about 'Spursy' & 'bottling it' ad nauseum. They have been pushing the Spurs 'never win anything' agenda for ever (which means, to them, we are failures).

The media detest up for getting in the top 4 mix without joining in the 'throw as much money as it takes' modus operandi. Harder to get clicks/viewers without constant transfer speculation/manager-go-round.

We may be in the media a lot but very very rarely from a positive perspective.

Our current predicament has given them the perfect excuse to stick the knife in more.

I'm not paranoid though.

I can only speak for the American media and what I see online but they love Spurs. You definitely have a seat at the table now and part of that is getting criticism for not winning things. I assume if Everton ever got their act together and competed we would hear the same thing. And I remember Arsenal getting stick too when they had the drought under Wenger. It's the way it is in the mythical six.

I didn't read the whole thread, but I just want to say that Son is my favorite player not currently wearing an Everton (or Bayern) kit. He's so cute I want to put him in my pocket and bring him with me everywhere I go

(srsly though, he's a bad ass)
