Spurs Away Travel Help?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else was travelling down by train and then underground to Tottenham? I need abit of help as they seem to be doing track works on Victoria line on match day.. Anyone any ideas of what to do/other routes?

You can round the Horn on clear days, but stay clear of the Roaring Forties through Bootle mate.

You can pick up a 73 bus from just outside Euston concourse to the end of its route & then a 243 from the same stop to Tottenham High Street. Easy walk to the Lane from there.

You can get a tube to Wood Green (Victoria line to Finsbury Park then cross the platform [dead easy] to Piccadilly Line) which will take you 12 minutes then get a W3 bus from there to the ground (10 - 15 minutes).

That's defo how I'd do it and I live in round there.

I don't think that you really have much of a problem, because the Victoria line is still running up to Seven Sisters. The line works are between Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central.

From the Transport for London weekend travel bulletin:

Victoria line
Until Sunday 30 August, there will be no service between Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central and a reduced service on the rest of the line. This is while we renew the track layout at Walthamstow Central, which will allow us to run a more frequent service from next year.

I'm sorry to have to contradict Clint Planet, but I don't recommend the W3, unless you get on it in really good time, because on match days the traffic anywhere near WHL is dreadful.

I've learned through bitter experience not to use the W3. One year I missed the kick-off and the following year, despite allowing an extra half hour, I got there just in time, but only because I got off about a mile from the ground and legged it.
