Problem is mate this is the wrong game for Gomes to take on that responsibility, be surprised if he even touches the ball at the weekend. Iwobi needs to step up for sure though. If he can repeat what he did the in the 2nd half against Brighton for at least 70 mins I’ll be happy.
Although they are a team much better suited to the 442 than we were last season we're all too well aware of the formation's shortcomings when it comes to coming up against a composed and organised midfield three. Allan, Doucoure and whoever partners them in the middle needs to boss it for us and create a nice block in front of our defence and get our front three and full backs into positions that hurt them.
Even if we're not creating much in open play we look so threatening on set pieces these days that you always fancy us for a goal or two - especially with DCL, Keane, Mina and hopefully Godfrey in there too.
