40 + 40 x 0 + 1 = ?

using only mathmatical symbols seen on a calculator and inputting no other numbers (all on the left hand side of th equation) complete the following equations

0 0 0 = 6
1 1 1 = 6
2 2 2 = 6
3 3 3 = 6
4 4 4 = 6
5 5 5 = 6
6 6 6 = 6
7 7 7 = 6
8 8 8 = 6
9 9 9 = 6

ill give you one for an example 6 + 6 - 6 = 6.
average is 5/10 most people can do 6/10 very few get 9/10. need a day at least to get 10/10 without cheating.

I don't understand what operations are allowed... took a quick stab at it assuming square roots and squaring is ok, and just used a factorial for 1:

(cos(0) + cos(0) + cos(0))! = 6
(1+1+1)! = 6
Hibbert+Hibbert+Hibbert = Jagielka
(3^2 + 3^2) / 3 = 6
squareroot(4) + sqrt(4) + sqrt(4) = 6
5 / 5 + 5 = 6
6 + 6 - 6 = 6
7 - (7 / 7) = 6
cuberoot(8) + crt(8) + crt(8) = 6
(9 + 9) / sqrt(9) = 6

not sure how you could possibly do the zero one without sine and cosine... bit ambiguous rules

Can see Southampton pushing to cancel it,gives their new manager more time with the players and all round works out better for them

Southampton aren't going to delay a televised match just so their coach can have more time with the players. They'd lose out on half a million doing that.

Then again, if they do better with the manager bedded in than they do on Monday without the time to get used to each other it may mean the difference between staying up and going down, which is worth a lot more than £500k. Saying that though it'll still go ahead, I don't think you can be that desperate to postpone a televised game especially considering they're likely to face an even stronger Everton side if they get it put off until later in the season.
