little curly alan ball

Player Valuation: £70m
I went into Town today , and as me mates Ma works in the Central Library , I thought I'd go and say hello , and have another gander at the France Collection along the way .
Whilst perusing the many articles of interest , especially to any Bally - Nut , like meself ; I came about a little tale from early on in our great club's history .

The year was 1895 , we , being the thinking , forward facing instution we are , installed turnstiles at our ground .
However , despite a large - apparent - turnout at games , the actual gate money did not seem to tally . The turnstiles were checked as being in working order , but no answers were forthcoming .
This went on for some time , before , prior to one game , Sunderland , Nov. 15 1895 , two Directors took over the manning of the turnstiles , where - guess what ??? - , it was revealed the each gate had , " turned back the clock " , for at least 200 .

Now , irrespective of your stance on , " Rhhobiiiinnnnn Scousers " , it just warms the cockles of me heart to think that all those years ago , while mad for the blue - boys , they were not slow for a graft .
This was our forebears , lads .

I raise my hat to your initiative , Gentlemen .
Salut .

Sorry , Mont' . I generally do me own research on Everton , but I'll have look , it sounds good .

Just a little question. Read a lot about the David France collection. Where (if), is it on show in Liverpool and are they also open during weekends? Coming over for the Goodison Derby and sounds like an interesting pass time.
