Some optimism...

Only a few days too go now, always feels exciting this time of year no matter what. Can't wait for Saturday, couldn't get to a game last season because I was a bit skint but got my tickets for Watford and I'm thoroughly buzzing.

We played Watford in the opening game of the 06/07 season. Olly was their manager and there was a great atmosphere in the ground. I think we won thanks to a dubious Arteta penalty iirc. Would take the same again just to get the first 3 points in the bag.
Think it was Andy Johnson's debut too, he scored.

Just popping in to see if anyone got thread-banned.

Also - my optimism for this season is that we have Del-boy. Can't wait to see what he can do this time round

i love the week before the season starts... Just can't help getting really excited. Our best team playing well is well worth the effort. Just hoping our best 11 hits the ground running. Really looking forward to some good young lads breaking through too.

Get a win on Saturday and a decent signing in the next couple of weeks and things could pick up quickly.

From there, we pretty much have a weekly opportunity for those brilliant morale-boosting wins, and if we really get a run on during the difficult stretch and cause some upsets, we could set the whole season up.

That's about the most positive way to look at it, and it's not beyond the realms of possibility.
