Some cheap prices for games, and less than 16 hours in which to buy them.

Yep, I've started lots of threads about gaming, but at the end of the day, it's always so you guys know about the deals, so put up with another thread. :)

Steam have a great sale on at present, but it ends some time tomorrow, and by the time many of you see this thread you'll only have a few minutes left in which to get a great deal.

Personally, I like first person shooters ( that's the type of game where you only see the arms of your character ).

To save you time, here are a few games that are worth buying, and many are less than a fiver while the sale is on:

Far Cry - £3.34 - Awesome both single and multiplayer

Far Cry 2 - £10.04 Best graphics, but you'll need a dual core.

Call of Duty series ( Every title except Modern Warfare 2 ) £21.99 Save over 60 quid.

Chrome + Chrome Specforce £1.49 Bought these myself tonight. 2 games released in 2010 for less than £1.50?

Clive Barkers Jericho £1.18 A bit linear but decent game and awesome price.

Cryostasis £2.49 Bought myself tonight. Looks decent

Fuel £3.73 Racing game that caught my eye. I played the demo once and it was decent. Great price.
Killing Floor £3.73 A good game for that price, and even better if you like to kill zombies lol.
Lost Planet Extreme Condition £9.37. Not bad at all

Necrovision £2.49 Looks good to me. I have this, but not played it yet.

Necrovision Lost Company Feb 2010 £6.24 Both these games look great

Timeshift £9.99 I got mine cheaper, but this is a very good game, and a cross between Half Life 2 and Crysis.

Trine £3.40. I bought this tonight. It looks like a classic Mario style game with boss graphics.

Bioshock - £10.49 - Just fabulous

Bioshock 2 - £9.99 - Similar, but with a twist.

So, there's a few I own, and most of them are great games, and those I've just bought look pretty decent too, so if you're not sure, maybe take my word for it. For these prices, you can't go wrong. The prices on most will go back up tomorrow.

Have fun. (y)

Having played a few of the new ones, I have to say that Chrome looks a load of rubbish, so avoid it like the plague. If that's a 2010 game then it has 1990 graphics for some reason.

Necrovision is extremely linear so also found itself switched off. The others were great as stated.

A word of warning............... DO NOT let your kids play Cryostasis if you don't want them to have nightmares. Infact bollox to the kids, you'll be having nightmares yourself lol.

This game is eerie, and at times, the audio is so crystal clear, that the game scares the pants off you. I really can't play it for long periods as it is too intense and claustrophoebic.

Basically, you're on a frozen ship, and seem to be making your way through the ship. As you do, there are bodies lying around, and each one has a story to tell of how they died. You're not the only one on the ship though, and some of the ways in which you find out are truly frightening, and the atmosphere is traumatic.

This game was only £2.49, and it's already near given me a heart attack twice, and I don't scare easily lol. You must play with headphones on to appreciate the audio though, which is amongst the best I've heard during my time as a gamer.

Not too much action, as the game is slower than expected, and it needs a decent pc, as frame rates drop considerably, but if I had to rate it, so far, it would get an 8 which ain't bad.

Bioshock is a rather good game, as well as Far Cry. I do prefer Far Cry 1 than 2 however. Love Call of Duty, bought every one of them
