The binman chronicles

Player Valuation: £80m
Couldn't find a suitable thread so thought I would create my own. Now Solskjaer has been announced as permanent manager of utd how long does he last before the players turn on him and he gets the boot?

Given the Arsenal and Wolves results I think he just about gets to April next year.

I think they should've waited until the end of the season. There was no hurry to appoint him permanently and I think the reversal in the club's fortune's since his arrival could still be a new manager bounce. Man United fans seem pleased with the announcement though.

Depends on two things, 1) if Mike Phelan stays 2) if they get a decent director of football. If these two things happen, I could see a longer run. If not, gone before the end of next season.

The whole Mike Phelan thing is overblown - was absolute tripe at Hull. Fact is SAF left an old, clapped out squad (by top of the table standards). I agree with Van Gaal that he did much of the donkey work by bringing the age of the squad down. In Ferguson’s last season RVP had one of his few seasons where he wasn’t constantly crocked. Moyes didn’t have that fortune.

Hope he fails, well not him personally as he's actually quite likeable... but I'd far rather Untied fail utterly and completely.
Suspect he won't though as he's going to loads of mentoring help from SAF that should be massively beneficial.

Wenger literally sold ManU the title by giving them RVP for less than the price of Bolasie.

I don't think he'll be given time if things go off course.
Few bad results and that's him .

Man utd were really stuck after they won all those games AND got passed PSG in the CL. But for all those decent results like against Arsenal in the cup not long after he was installed, the game against Arsenal in the league at the point they really needed it and then losing in the quarter final to Wolves are far more telling I believe.

They were like a starving man that were thrown a cracker and it was the best damn cracker they ever had. Problem is a year of having the same every day and they will soon realise that they've been sold just regular crackers.

OGS has the toughest gig in the league. He has to hope the players keep buying in to him.
