So what is the solution?

Player Valuation: £40m
After 2 games of fairly mediocre stuff, we have one more chance to find form and qualify.

I feel it's time to take a risk, and introduce a few new faces into the starting eleven that were missing tonight, and dare I say it ........ consider dropping Heskey, Lampard, Gerrard, or Rooney.

Capello's team revolves totally around Wayne Rooney, or why else would Heskey be on the pitch? The problem is Rooney is playing out of form, so in Rooney and Heskey we have a problem, as Heskey doesn't know where the net is.

Crouch for me should start the next match, with Rooney either playing off him, or dropping back completely into a creative midfield position, with Crouch and Defoe leading the line, or Crouch with Gerrard behind. Crouch knows where the net is, and is our best striker for England regarding current form and goals.

We had no width today what so ever, and our width is very important to us, so it might be feasable to bring in Joe Cole as opposed to Barry, and if Milner is fit throw him on the wing. I'm afraid Wright Phillips doesn't do it for me, and is easily shaken off the ball.

Creativity in midfield is dire, and we should be pinning teams like Algeria and even USA against the ropes and not letting them out of their half.

Do we really need 4 defenders? Could we dominate the midfield by playing an extra defensive midfielder? I hate to say it but Carragher is by far our best defender at the moment, and Terry is the same old Terry, in that he doesn't inspire me with confidence.

Is it time to give Carrick a go?

I'm not the best here at discussing formations, but I know some of you here are pretty good with it, so what team would you start with and why?

Ruddy

Hibbert Jagielka Neville Baines

Osman Rodwell Gosling

Vaughan Baxter Agard

That right there should be the England team.

i think capello is putting to much presure on the players for a start! but ok they should be able to cope with that!

but all this naming the starting line up 2 hours before the game is utter bollox!! becouse what about set piece plays are we not working on them? cuz surly you need to know who is going where and when. but if you dont know whos playing then what?

and as you can see from tonight every corner free kick was utter [Poor language removed]!

I agree about the timing of the team sheet 100%. It is surely good for players to be able to prepare themselves well in advance of a match, and bond with their team mates. Not knowing if you are playing is school boy stuff.

James
Johnson-Terry-Upson-Cole
Barry
Lennon-Gerrard-Cole
Rooney
Defoe

Gerrard and Lampard should'nt be on the same pitch, one has to come out..

Defoe change the shape of the game a bit with his pace

Lennon has looked good both games

Cole and Carrick need a shot.. Why not right?

gerrard behind rooney and as a plus point the ape man is suspended from the next game.

by the way what did rooney say?

Fabio needs to grow a pair and rackle the changes.
Defoe in-Rooney out, even more so for the massive classless blerting to the cameras after the game. Rooney definitely needs to take anger management(see new thread) courses to channel his frustrations and blerts.
Crouch in-Heskey out; the supposed link-up play with Rooney is clearly not clicking. Big fat heffer with zero skill. Slinky Crouchy has more talent in little toe.
J Cole in-Gerrard out; Gerrard quite clearly not up to the task of captain or playing alonside Lampard. This change should free up some space for Lamps, hence similar to his Chelsea role.

Rooney clearly cant grasp the fact that people have paid thousands to go and see that bilge that was served up, thousands that probably equate to 1/5 of their income for the year, probably saving since the quals began and he doesn't think they have the right to voice their displeasure. don't know about anger management he needs a reality check, let him sleep off the game in 1 of the townships instead of making a token visit with an armed entourage, lets see the fans storm the training camp and voice their displeasure, boo the bastards 'til they get it.

how can you work on postioning, runs on the break ect.....

and defo set piecies when you dont know whos playing!!!

its ok if you have a team all season becouse every player in every position will get it in time!! but in a tourney that is the one thing you aint got is time!

pick your ******* team and work with them all week! show them the other teams weakneses show them how to exploite there spaces ect...

but there is no way you can do this with no one knoiwing whos playing!
