Player Valuation: £5m
Fan of the game for decades, but fell in love with the english game around '07 timeframe. Gave myself half a season to find a team and (like Kay20) refused to be a bandwagoner and just hop on for one of the "big 4" (at that time, those were the only teams you ever heard about over here).
I also didn't want to start following a team that seemed in danger of relegation (sidenote - the promotion/relegation aspect of the epl is AWESOME and i wish more sports did it). As an American AND a keeper (from back in my playing days) watching Howard play was nice so that first turned me to Everton.
I also found myself hating Liverpool at the time (Rafael, Bellamy, fowler, kuyt, mascherano, etc.) and really liking Everton (Cahill, Arteta, Moyes, Howard, AJ). It just seemed natural, apparently i was chosen and just had to discover it for myself that season.
So for anyone wondering if having americans on the squad helps, it does. I found Everton thanks to Howard, I'm sure MANY more are finding us thanks to Donovan. (Buddle and Hahnamann won't help much...)
