Only 17 so my best day as a blue was probably the Wembley Semi Final, only time I've ever seen me dad cry! I wouldn't trade anything in the world for Everton because the memories I have from the blues, good and bad, will live with me till death. There's nothing in the world that compares to going the match and I genuinely believe that no club in the world can make you feel so happy or so depressed as Everton. One day, we'll be back were we belong.

Ok. my first Everton hero was Duncan McKenzie. Was truly gutted when we sold him to Chelsea (a downward step in those days).
His first visit back to Goodison I was standing in the Street end. The whole ground cheered him. And when he cut inside from the left to hammer a low drive into the bottom corner from 20 yards out to put Chelsea 1-0 up, the whole ground gave him the standing applause he deserved. We don't forget our heroes. And McKenzie always seemed to be proof of what Alan Ball said. Once Everton's touched you, nothing is the same. I had the pleasure of shaking his hand. Me mar organised a charity women's football team and he came to kick off one game at my school.

Oh and we beat Chelsea 3-2 coming from behind twice. Two Martin Dobson headers from Dave Thomas crosses in the last 15 minutes if memory serves.

did you go to the FA cup tie at cardiff when he scored and it seemed like he dribbled round their defence twice before he put it in. i was looking forward to seeing it on motd when we got back but the f*cker was postponed or something

Nah, I missed that one mate. I was only 12 and funds were short.

Now I'm 47 and funds are fcuking shorter.

I remember my first football hero was Derek Mountfield he use to always get important goals for us.

then lucky enought to watch Gary Lineker in a blue and white shirt, i remember he use to miss loads of chances.
ive always like Big Nev too, he was reason we won 2 league titles in the 80s, when he got injured we threw a big lead in the league, and lost the FA cup final to the RS.

then my hero was Tony Cottee when he got his hat-trick against Newcastle 1st game of the season.

the 80s all conquering team were ace but the one i keep remembering most fondley is kevin richardson, one time he had a fractured wrist or something and it was all bandaged up and he always seemed to have a bum-fluff beard
