beat chelsea at home with a very similar team to the one that lost against oldham.

nice and easy, we just have to rely on johnson to score :dodgy:

Actually, minus Yobo Yakubu and Pienaar, we should have a fully fit and suspension-less squad to pick from by then.

Its far from impossible at a packed goodison in fact im gonna put fifty on the 1/0 win, strange im more confident about us getting to the final then i was before the game started.

How often are we beaten at home not often.

Exactly.

We can do it.

does anyone know if away goals count in the carling cup ? i can never remember. and when do they come into play AET? if they do then the last goal tonight is fairly unimportant (i hope) because we still had to score one at home (please god dont let it go to pens !)

Let's put it into perspective, we are 90 minutes and 1 goal away from our first Final in 12 barren years - have faith guys......

Well put esk (y)

At the end of the day, if we cant win a game at home to get to a final - do we really deserve it?

As far as am concerned, its in our own hands.

What would you prefer, going to Stamford bridge 2-1 up or going to Goodison 2-1 down?

The latter for me.

even if we play crap we will get through because fate has to favour us one day. if we dont then we will win the eufa

not too sure, i believe that away goals only count after Extra time, so basically if we win 1-0 at goodison, it goes to extra time, but after extra time if noone scores, we win. i'm not positive about this but i'm pretty sure.

i'm confident, you say count on AJ to score like its a bad thing, last season i had no problem counting on AJ to score. our squad is not going to be terrible. i thought hibbo looked strong against chelsea today (though to be fair, he mostly covered bridge, who doesn't exactly intimidate me), lescott and jags have been invaluable (lets not talk about the end of the game for lescott), stubbsy will fill in where needed, we'll have baines, so defense might be sorted. if our depleted strikers core means AJ and Vaughan or Anichebe or even Faddy up front, i'm not afraid. we've seen class from all of them, plus with cahill we really only need to play one so its not a big deal.

i thought our tactics were messed today, and certainly moyes saw that playing cahill in a more controlling position is simply asinine. we have good players, we jus need to use them right and chelsea will be no problem for us.

Sorry boys, don't share the optimism on this one. We're not gonna get it done based on what I watched today.

fate paid us off large with the bullshot freekick we scored from.

why am i the only person mentioning this?

did no one else witness the sheer bullshitness of this decision?

if chelsea had scored from this situation, tell me, would you be happy?
