The Penalty Box Dancer

Player Valuation: £35m
to the start of the 2013/14 season. Just for a bit of fun, lets say our squad is exactly the same as it is now but all our players are 5 years younger.

Roberto Martinez has just took charge of Everton and has the following players at his disposal:

Jordan Pickford - 17 years old.
Jordan whose previously club is Sunderland has been there since a youth player and spent last season on loan at Alfreton Town in the Conference. This is a big gamble for Roberto Martinez but he must see the young keeper with massive potential.

Joel Robles - 23 years old.
Signed from Athletico Madrid but spent the last season on loan at Wigan. A promising young keeper looking to establish himself as a number 1.

Cuco Martina - 23 years old.
A promising Right back who has experience of playing in the Eredivisie in Holland, was looked at by FC Twente but decided to join the Toffees instead. Watch this space!

Seamus Coleman - 24 years old.
Probably the best Right Back in the Premier League and one of the best in Europe and the world. Seamus Coleman is going from strength to strength and Cuco Martina will have his work cut out to displace him.

Jonjo Kenny - 16 years old.
A young right back with the world at his feet. I doubt he is ready for the first team yet but is one to watch and will be knocking on doors in the near future.

Leighton Baines - 28 years old.
Leighton has established himself as one of the best left backs in world football and is a deadly set piece taker. One of the best left footers in the business.

Phil Jagielka - 30 years old.
Phil is a quality centre back with a lot of experience. He is very controlled in possession and leads by example. Very solid and professional with the ability to read the game very well.

Ashley Williams - 28 years old.
A consistent Centre Back who has led by example at Swansea for many years and is a recent league cup winner. Ashley brings a great wealth of experience and is a class act at the back with Premier League experience.

Michael Keane - 20 years old.
Signed from Manchester United, Keane spent last season on loan at Leicester City in the Championship and impressed a that level. This will be a big step up for him and could mark the start of his Premiership career.

Mason Holgate - 16 years old.
A youth player from Barnsley with no senior level experience. An interesting signing made by Roberto Martinez but will obviously be one for the future.

Ramiro Funes Mori - 22 years old.
From Argentina and applied his trade in South America for River Plate. An unknown signing and questions will be asked if he can adjust to the Premier League. Another gamble from Roberto Martinez.

Idrissa Gana Gueye - 23 years old.
Signed from Lille in France this defensive midfielder has been an influential player in Ligue 1 and has gained a lot of experience at a young age. He could prove to be a major coup for Everton this season.

Morgan Schneiderlin - 23 years old.
Morgan is a massive loss for Southampton and an absolute game changer. He has one of the best work rates in the Premier League and had a great season last season for Southampton. Will instantly command a place in the Everton XI

Tom Davies - 15 years old.
An academy graduate brought into the fold for the first time this season as Roberto Martinez allocates him a squad number and plans to include him on the upcoming pre-season tour. Surely too young for the Premier League?

James McCarthy - 22 years old.
Bought from Wigan Athletic and is an FA cup winner under Roberto Martinez. A midfielder who works hard but fans of the club are dubious about this signing.

Yannick Bolasie - 24 years old.
A quick pacey winger but is unproven at Premiership Level. Has been involved for Crystal Palace in the championship but he is still young and is skillful. Could be a good signing.

Theo Walcott - 24 years old.
An absolute coup for Everton. The right winger is one of the most talented in England and has been a key player for Arsenal and England. A world class winger and prolific goal scorer in the Premier League and Champions League. A sensational signing by the Spaniard.

Gylfi Sigurdsson - 24 years old.
Signed from Tottenham Hotspur, a consistent, hard working peformer in the Premier League and an Icelandic international. Has had interest from a few clubs and decided to join the toffees.

Davy Klassen - 20 years old.
An Ajax attacking midfielder but still unproven at senior level. Looks more like a future prospect than a starting no. 10 this season.

Wayne Rooney - 27 years old.
A return to his boyhood club whilst still at his best. As Moyes goes one way, Rooney goes the other. What a signing for Everton and he has a lot to offer. Is versatile across the field and will likely be played as a striker. An unbelievable signing.

Sandro Ramirez - 18 years old.
A signing from Barcelona with youth team experience. One for the future as Roberto Martinez continues to build a dynasty in English Football.

Oumar Niasse - 23 years old
A footballer from Senegal, an unknown footballer and a very bizarre signing by Martinez. He has scored goals in the Senegalese league but that is a far cry from the Premier League.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin - 16 years old.
A youth player from Sheffield United, no senior experience but could be one for the future.

Cenk Tosun - 22 years old
A striker applying his trade in Turkey has proved he can score goals but doing it in the Premier League is a different story. Still young enough to learn and will probably be used sparingly.

Now with this team above (minus a few players) how would we do in the 2013-14 season as Roberto Martinez looks to implement his attacking brand of football. A relatively young squad but with great potential and some world class players who we could only dream of having.

I think this team has the potential to challenge for the title. Manchester United are in transition as well and have lost a great manager and also Wayne Rooney.

I think this team could achieve great things.

Well, just compare it to the squad Martinez actually took over, and on paper, it would be better.
