Sky Sports Live at Everton

Denise Barrett Baxendale MBE has all the credentials to be a top quality CEO at any football club in the country, and abroad. I am certain that many on here are not aware of the high regard for this lady in the places were it matters. Everton are really quite lucky to have her on board. My wife was involved in 'Women In The Workplace' on the academic side, for many years, and believe me, Denise BB will go right to the very top in whatever field of operations she chooses. Her reputation alone increases the credibility of our board. Anyone in doubt, just wait and see.
Ok we will see.

I recorded the entire days content of SKY yesterday and last night watched more or less the entire Everton piece , fast forwarding all the other content and the many pieces where SKY are simply repeating what was shown earlier.

It was a hugely positive exercise for Everton and extended way beyond the football side of the club alone.
It really gave the impression of a club with a huge buzz about and I think maybe SKY recognise that Everton are now a club on an upward trajectory.

It was never a day for big announcements , but I thought every interview was positive and optimistic.
I know this is probably wishful thinking but it seemed to me that everybody was gearing up for something big to happen and the club is ready to accelerate , the stadium announcement is the missing piece yesterday where lots of pieces of the jigsaw were assembled and explained.

I doubt whether David Dein, despite his close friendship with BK and, presumably Mosh, would want, or need at this stage a job as a CEO.
Probably not but that's the sort of calibre of person I think we should be going after. You obviously think very highly of Denise Steve and I did get to know her quite well in her previous employment. She's obviously done great things with Everton/EITC, but I just feel we need somebody with a bigger reputation and who is used to dealing in the murky world of professional football, especially as regards dealing in player transfers and negotiations with certain foreign clubs. It's not an area we've excelled at in the past to say the least plus we're coming into a massive era in Everton's history with the new stadium etc. David Dein would have been perfect as he's been there and done it before.

Laughable this Rooney talk. Complete car crash of a signing.

But he will make Baines look even more devilishly handsome when he stands next to him.

I know DBB personally having had close professional dealings with her before she came to EITC. I have nothing but good to say about her and would always come out in defence of her (not that I've ever had to on this forum). But it's not that long since we were talking about bringing somebody on board of the calibre of David Dein. He's the sort of person we should be looking for as CEO.
+1
