Being an 18 year old on £60k a week compared to nev playing 4 games at the weekend at 14 and getting a train to games and leaving work half day to play football part time

Don't know if I'm behind or not but it's just gone to a break and he's banging on about a manager saying they're not fit and nev saying "well you're training us"; going for Mike walker myself. Vinny samways always moaned about his training sessions

Saw a bit of this. My favourite thing about it were the two giant pictures behind him. One of Nev in the '95 Cup Final and one of Jess Ennis. It made no sense.

Best player in their position that I have ever seen.... I'm 34 my first game was 0-0 at the del when cottee had a goal disallowed .... Both him and flowers were quality... I never seen him in his prime.... But he is still the best player I have ever seen

I went to that game, the two goalies traded great saves one after the other, a 0-0 that could have been 4-4!

Nev was simply different class. Nothing big time about him. Wasn't bothered about socialising with players but always had time for the fans as he could identify with them - something a lot of players these days lose sight of.

So many stories about him staying behind at training to help younger pros etc. After we won the cup in 95 (great save from Scholes), he didn't stay to party with the players and the officials from the club. Was interviewed getting into a car to go back to Wales and said he'd rather be with his family and "when you spend all week with this lot like I do you'll take any opportunity to get away from them".

He's a loon alright, but most of the best goalies were.
