Besic gone leaving us with just three central midfielders Gana Morgan and Davies

Yet six yes six centre backs! In Williams Jags Mangala Holgate Keane and Funes when really only two will play (unless we have three cbs)

All six are liabilities. We seem to change them every week we actually need to stick to two and let them build a partnership. Can anyone honestly say they know our two best centre backs when the manager clearly doesn’t

Surely a defender should have been sold and a centre mid brought in?

They do see it they just don’t have ambition. All that matters to them is collecting the premier league money. Telling the fans they are ambitious and want to win things is a way of keeping deluded fans paying to go and watch them

Possibly. But he’s been our best centre back this season. I know that’s nothing to shout about, but still. Liability is probably a bit strong.

As for Mangala, I don’t rate him much either. But you never know. For some players it works at one club and not another. Maybe in our system his physicality will serve him better than when he was trying to play from the back at City. Pienaar and Arteta joined us because they’d been rejected by just about everyone else. If Mangala can do half as well as them I’ll be happy with that.

Depends how you look at it

We do have left backs, baines, garbutt and could be signing Mangala who played left back for porto and city

We have Bolasie, walcott, vlasic, dominic and sig whos played on the left side all season

With regards to centre mids we have garna, morgan, davies, baningime and rooney

We have a lot of centre backs, and as you mentioned they all dont look great, i think mangala and keane could really work if keane goes back to his old self, like he did tonight.

i dont get Tosun being on the bench though, not at all

Odds are Jags / Williams gone next year .... City guy hasn't signed and even if he does it's a loan , easily could be gone .... Funes Mori massive injury , probably won't start this season , Holgate young player with promise + Keane
