This site upgrade was fairly significant.

The new upgrade promises lots of exciting and new innovation but it looks as though, message box aside, we've been able to successfully squish innovation in favour of our comfort blanket of no change.

In every walk of life it seems every change is described as an upgrade, progress, the way forward etc.

Word was never a patch on Wordperfect and has steadily has become worse. Hotmail has become horrendous as outlook. etc

Nobody ever honestly says - this is going to be a little bit crapper but I'm making a change so somebody notices I exist in this cosmos.

No reflection on whatever this change is. Haven't even noticed.

Aye, we have to upgrade to ensure stability/compliance but the key is keeping it user friendly. Some platforms really forget that.

Struggling to work out how to fix that, will do as soon as possible though. [EDIT] Should be sorted now.
