Being knighted is meaningless, has been for a while.

Nick Clegg a knight now? Why? What has he done to earn it? Ringo starr doesn't even affiliate himself with the country anymore and certainly doesn't contribute to it.

There are far more deserving people who aren't famous who should be given these honours.

It was Lennon as Macca played the drums in Back in the USSR Ringo was locked away in his paranoia as he was worried they wanted him out - Macca offered him to sing on that song - to keep the group together- Lennon mocked when asked was Ringo the best drummer in the world he laughed and stated he's not even the best drummer in the Beatles lol
