Just seen this, perhaps why he isnt in the USA Squad for World Cup! Looks like Landon's had a few beers (or pregnant)

Not sure if anyone's noticed or posted this before. But even after him being gone for so long, Donovan still makes it known to everyone he's a blue.

Wonder if we could do a similar loan for Yedlin like we did with Donovan this winter?

Klinsmann seemed keen prior to the WC for the USMT players to get European experience and a loan over the MLS break might be an easy way to get that.

Howard would help him settle in quickly and he would probably get quite a bit of game time as that is our most intense period of the year. Hibbert can cover for Coleman's defensive duties but he doesn't help with our attacking at all which Yedlin could.

Any idea if Seattle might be interested? @ilikecheese think you are a Seattle fan?

His lack of ambition displayed by him staying in the MLS ultimately cost him his world cup place. I"m not sure what his motivations are, but for what ever reasons Landon missed a golden opportunity to finish his career playing at a much higher level than he's settled for. A shame really as he could have gone back to the MLS in his late thirties.

I thought LA blocked the loan opportunity and didn't allow him to come over?

Yedlin would be great for us American fans, but I'm not sure he'd earn any time with the first team very often. He's still very young and mistake prone. His upside is gigantic though. And he's fast as balls for a defender.

I'm talking about him signing for us on a perm. I'm sure if he wanted the move to happen, then it would have. Moyes rated him, and at the time he was very much what we needed.

I love the guy, but I'm I think his opportunity to come here has well and truly past.

I agree with that. Think he's an MLS lifer at this point. Never leaving.
