Sir Landon Of Donovan

Good 2 months coming up then - I wish it was permenant but as Brad Friedel alluded to regarding Sir Landon and sponsorships, probably won't happen :(

Love how this thread has gone from "Very impressed after 2 games!!" to "We don't need him ffs we've got Drenthe" even though our squad is visibly worse than it was when he was here last.

I think it's more, "we don't need him on the right ffs we've got Drenthe", but "we sure as hell need him on the left or up top ffs". Most everyone still recognizes we definitely could use him somewhere else. Beauty of his two footedness and the fact that he's played LM, RM, withdrawn forward, and a dash of CAM.

I have a feeling Moyes will only start games with either Drenthe or Landon on, but never both.

This would be DUMB. Supremely, absolutely, 100% DUMB. I will join the Moyes out brigade if this happens. We have so few attacking resources, surely he would see that playing BOTH would be in our best interest. Surely, right?

Made it here safely! Excited to get to Finch Farm tomorrow and see the guys and start training,he say's.,
bet he cannot wait to play at spurs to try to forget that miss a few years ago as well

With how much we're looking forward to his arrival, I'm surprised Moyes hasn't arranged for a parade for tomorrow.

EDIT: Oh, and trust me, he's going to want to score at Spurs for multiple reasons. (See: Brad Friedel)

Yeah but, which two strikers? I don't see Moyes playing Vellios or Straq from the start, do you? And Cahill doesn't count.

lol i've said cahill doesnt count as a striker for years now. it would be saha and vellios, vellios isnt good enough to start as a lone striker but saha brings the best out of another striker and vice versa

Good few options where he can play. I think Bolton he will be either on the bench or behind the striker. Then dependent on who/if we sign anyone will move onto the wing.

Wingers of drenthe and Donovan sound very exciting!
Could even play 4-3-3
