And to be fair United do play good football most of the time, I just feel for him to be labelled the greatest his record in Europe would need to have been slightly better than it was, although obviously 2 CL wins + the Cup Winners Cup with both United and Aberdeen is no mean feat. If people were to regard him as the best I wouldn't begrudge him it.
 

Great manager, but what United (and others, though they have been the most guilty) have done as a club to football since they began this period of dominance has ruined the game. It burns me inside to say this, but at least when the ****e were winning the league on a regular basis the league was a lot more open.

No, you're right. LFC won their stuff largely on merit (I begrudge them two well lucky League Cup wins). United have dominated as part of a Sky-fed plutocratic cartel. Hence my above comment about Shankly and Clough.
