Single on Valentine's Day

Being naturally terminally repulsive I had it pointed out to me a work yesterday that I must really hate Valentine's day, to which I replied "No, it's actually my favorite of 'special day' of the year, it doesn't cost me anything and I don't have to go anywhere or do anything"

What are your thoughts on being Single on Valentines Day?

It's going to be interesting. My ex I dated for four years wants to have dinner. Not sure I should accept or decline, or maybe not even respond. I was really looking forward to binge-watching old X Files episodes.

Missed a potential date just now, I think.

Either way, I'm out with family and friends tomorrow, as on the 14th we celebrate a day of wine, and not those stupid Western "St. Valentines" and stuff like that.

He's been asking since December but I've dodged an answer. Not sure if he thinks I'll concede because it's Valentine's Day or he's just that depressed himself. He should know me well enough to know the former is not a possibility.

It's for uninspiring people who have to be told when to be amorous by companies wanting to flog you stuff. Is it really a club you want to be a part of? Be romantic when you want to be. Buy your girl flowers or do nice things when you feel like doing it, not when some schmuck guilts you into doing so.

I'll be doing that as well. Luckily my my good lady missus her indoors loves the X Files so it's win/win for me.
