footy manager games back in the late 80's early 90's were wonderful.

Games like ' The Double ' and the one you mentioned above were just very well made for that generation. Great memories

Remember sitting there for hours typing letters and numbers into the ZX81 and then being amazed when a picture of a racing car appeared on the screen, Christ the 80's were boss.

As stated above, it's a bit unfair to compare an Spectrum with an Amiga. I have a 500+ as anyone who knows anything knows that just the Amiga 500 was half the machine of the 500+. Btw, it is boss and anyone without a 500+ should get right onto ebay to get one asap. A copy of Sensi and Cannon Fodder and that's your route through till dawn!

Is that right it can play every single Spectrum game ever made? I'm assuming that means you'll actually need the original game though (apart from the ones already on it).

Easily one of the greatest games for the spectrum was a game called ' striker '.

Very very simple but incredibly addictive. I'd spend hours playing this as a kid. Sadly the game was bugged to hell and would crash if you were good enough to move abroad for big money (was in those days) . Or more often than not, it would crash after getting an international cap.

If it wasnt for this annoying bug, it would be my all time favourite spectrum game.

As soon as I saw this thread and immediately thought of this game but you beat me to it haha. I used to always start off with Southend.

I'd love to buy this for nostalgia purposes but definitely not for £100.
