Everton boss David Moyes is believed to be lining up a summer swoop for Ipswich Town midfielder Owen Garvan.

The Irish U21 International has attracted a lot of Premiership attention after an impressive season that has seen him score 2 goals in 42 appearances for the Tractor Boys.

Everton boss David Moyes is looking for some upcoming talent to act as cover for their big players such as Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta and sees Garvan as the ideal player.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark Beevers looks to be at the centre of a transfer tug of war between Liverpool and Everton.

The 18 year old has been impressive for the Championship strugglers so far this season making 27 appearances and scoring 1 goal.

The Sunday Mirror are reporting that both Everton and Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the 6ft 4 in star for a while and neither club will be put off by Wednesdays £3 million asking price.

The 14 year-old Liberian has been trialling with Everton this year and AIK star Johnson, who began his European career at AC Milan, told tribalfootball.com: "He should count yourself fortunate for this great opportunity. A lot of his peers are dying to get such a chance. Don't look back. Press on. Keep your focus.
"You must learn from others to gain experience and don't look down on anybody. Football is a game for humble people and it will take you places. I wish him the best and say to him 'I hope you soar higher in your career. I'm happy for you and hope we meet sometime soon'."
