Silly Season advice

We dont spend because??

1- We dont have money to spend?
2- Kenwright is too tight to give money to Moyes?
3- Kenwright is funding his own enterprises?

I am certain money could be given to Moyes so why is'nt it?

I agree. The money could be found for those quality signings to push us into the top 4. I wish i knew the real reason why it isn't though. I have to think its all to do with Kirby in some way.

Personally I think we have money to spend, its not a lot, but I would imagine its somewhere between £10m to £15m and there lies the problem, Moyes has a strict budget to work to.

He has a limit he can go and then thats it, other clubs dont have such strict budgets, maybe their owners are rich so the bank allows the loans to increase, maybe their owners are super rich and just spend what they like, but its clearly not like that at Everton, we are not alone I know this.

I think we will get players in, maybe not of the quality I would like, but will get some players in and im fairly sure Moyes is as pissed off about this as some of us, he would want all his new players over in America, he would like to be able to play hardball with Spurs and get the players he wants, but his hands are tied.

So are the boards in a way, none of them are rich people, they all have fairly average net wealths. Multi-Millionares yes, but not enough and besides they really dont want to spend anymore money.

So me and others like me, we are aware that whining and crying isnt going to help, we are aware that people are trying, well I am anyway, it doesnt mean it wont "get us down", it doesnt mean it wont make us "fume", it makes us feel better to express it.

Sorry for speaking for other manic depressive like myself (Sorry for insulting REAL manic depressives), but im not just a bit peeed off with no lovely new players, we all love new players. Surely?

I'm pee'd off too.

But. I want new players. I want them to be good players. I want them to be the right players in every way. Price, ability, attitude, everything.

But what i want doesn't very often happen.

I have no idea what Moyes wants. I have no idea what the board wants. I have no idea what Moyes is doing. I have no idea what the board is doing. (Other than i believe confirmed bids for Defour, Naughton and Elm). I can only speculate and guess.

I know we didn't get Defour and Naughton because we didn't bid enough. I have no idea why we (the board/Moyes) bid what they did. Elm is still waiting to make a decision. I have no idea what that will be or what will help him make his decision.

I know that right now we haven't signed any players who will have an impact on the first team squad this season (well they shouldn't have anyway). I don't know what the situation will be in 3 weeks time.

For all i know we might sign the players Moyes wants on Monday and everything will be good. Or maybe we will sign no one. Or maybe we will sign players on deadline day again. They might be good they might not.

No point getting players in early if they aren't the right players.

We can only wait and see what happens. And only when its all said and done will we know what happened.

Meltseason, is more appropiate.

Same thing happens every year, didnt see the same ones moaning and fuming when we just had our best season for a while last year.

Every year just keeps on getting acer, we'll win the league by 2021 I reckon.

im of the opinion that we have no money as such , but have access to money . ie another loan which raises our debt level even more.
(unless moyes wins the prem or gets in the cl ,its the only way this club will be funded under bk , that or becoming a selling club ).

it is curious how we can have a few good seasons in a row and hardly financialy compete with much lower level prem clubs.

if things are this 'tight' when we are succesful then what would our finances be if we finished outside of a european place ? i dread to think :(

You want players?

Could always do things the Exeter way :

17.01 Exeter have completed the signing of teenage striker James Norwood in a deal funded by the clubs supporters.

Reckon if we have a whip round we could afford Moutinho?
