I watched the other cold war series the Beeb ran and it was a bit iffy. Some bits were quite informative, but others were either glossed over or missed out entirely.

The Cold War series has been utter tosh. I'm surprised the BBC have screwed this up, but they have. I particularly detest that idiot Dominic Sandbrook and his 'culturalisation' of the Cold War triple header. He's a disaster of a journalist who thinks he's being very clever bringing modern history 'alive' but in reality dumbing it down to the idiots guide to it.

To be fair to Sandhurst I'd never heard of The War Game or Threads. I have watched them on YouTube and both are still quite chilling. But yeah he has over simplified certain things but I suppose that's the modern world.
