Its looking good according to Moyes on the Lescott new contract front.

'I have no problem with him over a new contract. We are making progress and I think it should be sorted out. We are talking to Steven Pienaar too and, with both of them, it is just a case of going about our work quietly.'

Looks like the Pienaar thing is going well too, its a good news day as both are a huge influence on the team.

these two lads need to be signed up to long contracts as they are both going to be key players in our march to greater things.

I wonder whats in a standard contract v "celebrity footballer" contract?

as long as we hold on to our current squad i'd be perfectly happy with not signing a single new player this summer, these 2 in particular are crucial.

with any luck, our players won't have to choose between CL football and playing for everton, so that should help us hold onto a few.
