I got into doing Uber.

Did about £600 getting the Private Hire license and getting my car plated. And then found out that switching over to Hire & Reward with passengers is basically like going back to being 18 in terms of insurance - another £2K.

So after the initial outlay it has by necessity become somewhat less part-time than I'd originally envisioned. Not exactly hard work though and certainly a good way of meeting "interesting" people.
