Nobody is getting wound up, for the average user a mac is at the moment just too different sure they have done amazingly well with the ipod and the design of the mac, but for now its still a distant 2nd place.

Which don't get me wrong, is a shame, I'd like to see a world where everything works with everything whats that word... interopability?

Things like openoffice are superb examples.

Well that depends on the model and what you use it for. Gaming is obviously different, but when Mac's are used by designers and film editors, I doubt that a low performance in graphics is accepted.
