No.

I think the ship has sailed. At the very least I expect Allardyce to be here until the summer, we'd look silly sacking him now.

Well it's not the stupidest thing posted because I saw it with my eyes on Saturday. There were people shouting abuse and other people having a go back, 2 old fellas in particular that were adamant that he was the only person who would keep us up. That was their own words. It was almost uncomfortable sitting around them arguing. The fella is toxic for the team and people are split down the middle. It's not a good situation at all. There were countless people who could have done a job in the shirt term but they picked the one with tons of baggage who would cause division.

I'm not denying your own personal experience but I'm not seeing this division amongst the fan base in the circles I keep

Also, that still doesn't constitute "worship", just admission that he has experience in keeping crap teams up, which is true

Everyone in my section of the ground either hates him or is tolerating him for the short term, whilst also blaming certain players for being utterly cack. No one is agitating for him to stay past this season

Call me crazy but I'm actually starting to warm a little to this shout.

A good manager being crippled by his gorm of a chairman surely won't want to stay beyond the summer. It'd also make rs heads explode.

Frankly it was ridiculous he wasn't at least sounded out in the autumn and he'd have taken the job in a heartbeat.

Is that Fonseca still meant to be available in the summer ?
Got to be a frontrunner surely?

If come June Allardyce is gone and one of Fonseca, Tuchel, Ancelotti or even Simeone is brought in then Moshiri clearly had it planned out that way from the beginning.

Thank God the running of this club is not in the hands of some of our fans. We're already run badly enough as it is! The number of fans to vote on here alone giving their seal of approval for Marco Silva, MARCO SILVA(!) To be our next manager it's truely horrifying. The worst part is that not content with just wanting him here, a sizable number see him as some sort of footballing genius and a saviour!

Not really mate, Klopp left behind a defense which was riddled with players either wanting out (Hummels) or broken down with injury like Subotic.

Much like Silva i don't think is an appalling defensive manager either, he was just stopped by the owners from getting the defensive players in he wanted (cb and lb) and then lost through injury key players in the spine of the team.

Don't think either is particularly good defensively mind, much as i don't think Fonseca or many Spanish/Portuguese or German coaches are - the balance is attack v defence and if the balance is overall in favour of the coach/manager

Klopp for example is a mediocre defensive manager at best, but at the other end he's good enough that it outweighs his flaws, same can be said about Mourinho in reverse, mediocre offensively but so good at organising a defence it outweighs that flaw in his game.

Key is which style fits the club/fans better, you'd think free flowing attacking footy, I'm actually not too sure with us lot though, we put up with poor but gritty performances more than we put up with entertaining but open games more i think...

Let's just get back Martinez then shall we for free-flowing attacking footie with poor defensive management?

10 managers since 2012
I’d say they have a constantly changing list of 20 managers that they want.
The Pozzo family have proved they haven’t got a clue

In 2012 they were on the brink of Administration and very close to getting relegated to League 1. They are now 10th in the Premier League and sacking managers because they are aiming higher. I reckon they know a little about football........

Still not "worshipping" him though is it mate?

It's merely taking a view that the players are also culpable for the current malaise

Making a sweeping statement that people "worship" Sam Allardyce is nonsense. It's possibly one of the stupidest things to ever be posted on this forum
To be fair Mikey to be classed as the most stupidest thing ever posted on this forum it would have to beat some fairly stiff competition

Very good points but not taking Moshiri’s millions for Silva shows they still have much to learn.

And they’ll end up bottom half and skirting with relegation.
There are plenty of managers capable of getting you out of the championship if you throw enough money at them.
That’s what the pozzo family did
Finding a manager who will make them an established mid table team team ( to start with ) is a lot more difficult and sacking him after 20 odd games is not the way to go about it.
They said in their statement that they were convinced Silva was the right man for the job
I’m sure they said exactly the same thing about the other 9 managers they fired and they’ll say the same about Gracia
