Should Tim Flowers ever been England's #1 Goal Keeper?

Just been having a discussion with a mate about this

I think, after the 94/95 season, Flowers had done enough to be considered England's first choice goal keeper

My mate argued of course that David Seaman had an amazing Euro 96, so maybe it was right that he kept his place

There was also Nigel Martyn knocking at the door during the 90's as well

What does everyone on here think?

No mate.

Flowers was decent. Had some good form. But was always prone to the odd doofus moment.

Seaman had these too, but less often. Seaman was the right choice at this time.

Thanks for reading.
