Should the club be more open with the fans?

No.

Lol at publishing our transfer budget or explaining why we didn't sign player X or Y.

The only people that should be given transparency are those that own stake in the club...and that doesn't mean season ticket holders.

Like this lot need to be given more sticks to beat the club with. Some on here think they know more about football than the manager.

Lol.

Being fan owned would allow the club to be more transparent if the fans chose it to be and would also keep the employees at the top scared of actually losing their jobs for being inept
You mean, like a Democracy? It'll never catch on...

Ok.transfer window closed.nobody had a clue what our transfer budget was.we were pretty much promised a number 10.anyone feel like they know what the club we support is doing?whats the problem with being a bit more open good or bad?we are everton,we will support through the good and the bad.let us know where we stand.what u reckon?

Er.

If the club publish what money they have.

The first club we approach to buy a player will demand 100% of what we have available.

Leave negotiations to professionals please and don't make stupid requests.

Ps.

There's plenty of discussion on what Everton is doing on here.

But in war. You don't let the other side know what you're doing.

Football is war. This summer we were literally at war with Chelsea. As an example.

The club should be more transparent, without a doubt.

However if we publicly declare our transfer budget, other clubs then hold us to ransom for players so that won't work.

Transparency on issues like stadium and long term club policy. Yes.

Transfer policy and funds is something that needs to be fairly restricted.

As our competitors (who do not have our best interests in mind) monitor us as much as we monitor them

Personally I find it very hard work thinking about why Lukaku is great one minute and useless the next, then you have to deal with the fact that none of the other people in your life care about this, then you have to think about what you would do if you were manager to make sure Lukaku is great in the next match, then you have to fight the depression of realising you are not manager and nothing you do matters, then you have to actually watch the match, then you have to listen to strangers opinions on why Lennon/Naismith/Kone will always be useless. This is just the basics, there is plenty more. The idea on top of this that I would have to sit down and read information the club are providing about finances or other business issues is already giving me ME

We were not 'literally' at war with Chelsea.
