Should Moyes go if we lose to Fulham?

If we brought in a new manager, and they did no better, what then??? another manager??

I can understand everyone is frustrated, and its natural to do the "sack the board, sack the manager, sack the players..." rant. I understand that.

We know Moyes, we know what he can do, we know he loves the club, we're not quite sure what he's upto at the moment, but a new manager is not the answer. That would bring its own problems...

ie, the 'new'manager doesn't rate certain players from the previous managers reign and wants rid, discontent, more poor results follow, fans are split more than they are now...etc etc...

This "get a new guy in.." theory is not what it seems....

Everyones fans from other clubs knew Rafael was a RS gobshizzle and a crap manager, (no Prem clubs wanted him as their manager, he was off to Italy faster than you can say Berlusconi)

Are many fans from other clubs saying Moyes is rubbish???

Good Point....I bow down to thee.....Frustration is tough to hold in.

There's a natural tipping point. It doesn't happen in a preaarranged way. Something happens during a match and the fans react, pro or anti, almost telepathically. David Moyes hasn't had this yet. While the majority of match going fans support him, he's safe. Unfortunately, internet fans opinions count for nothing in this particular context.

We have had [Poor language removed] starts the last few years so we should wait untill after the season. If we finish in the bottom half, then i think serious questions need to be asked.

He should have went last season. He has no tactical ability

How come every time a manager is doing badly sections of his clubs support seem to suggest he has no tactical ability? Yet Ferguson and Wenger aren't tactical managers yet have won the Prem more than anyone. Benitez is one of the most tactical managers in the world and as soon as he lost a couple of decent players Liverpool turned to crap. So how much was hs tactical ability worth? Cappello was a so called tactical genius until Roma lost money and he had to sell start players. The his tacical nouse turned to be worthless. So it came as no real suprise to me that once he got the England job and had to manage some pretty average international footballers, his tactical knowledge was suddelnly on par with Diego Maradona's.

I'm a Spurs fan and Ramos's beliefe in being tactical nearly got us relegated, whilst Redknapp, more of a purest, who straight out says "tactics don't win you games, good players do," has done far better than him. But aside from the fact that a more tactically minded manager isn't always that great a thing, Moyes is one of the most tactical managers in the Prem. Mancinni, Moyes and Allardyce are probably the 3 biggest tacticians around (and as a result all play boring football). For some reason fans associate managerial success with tactics as if they don't even watch the games. Martin Keown said recently that Wengers only tactical advice was often to draw two dots on a board, join them with a line and say "pass the ball". Yet because of Arsenal's success Wneger is often spoken about as a tactical genius. Yet on ArsenalMania, last season, when they weren't doing so great, many posters blamed it on his lack of tactical nouse. Of course in reality he's no different to any other manager and when his best players are injured (ie at the time Fabregas and RVP) or he simply doesn't have the quality (ie end of Monaco reign) his teams struggle. If you had a top class striker, I think it would be amazing how quickly your results would improve and that Moyes would soon be seen as a tactical genius.

If you think Moyes should go if we lose to Fulham you are obviously not a very good fan.
Luckily for Moyes there is no chance we will lose to Fulham.

Good post. We need more like you around here -- dump Spurs (who needs CL football anyway?) and come aboard.

Oh ... as for the original post ... no ... absolutely not ... don't be a dumb-dumb.

I know enough about football lad to know when a manager has lost the dressing room

You aren't the sharpest tool in the box are you?

This summer alone;

Rodwell signs new contract.
Seamus Coleman signs new contract.
Leighton Baines signs new contract.
Tim Cahill signs new contract.
Mikel Arteta signs new contract.

They probably all signed because Moyes had lost the dressing room and were unhappy. Its you who have lost the plot.

I know enough about online forums lad to know when a member has lost the respect of his fellow posters.

We talk about loyalty in players, and we call Rooney etc a Judas for leaving us. Some of you need to show the manager the same loyalty you expect from players, and give him the chance to turn this around. One good win and we will go on a run again. There is no need for sheer panic after just a few games. If we are in the same position around Christmas, maybe we can talk about changing things. Until then stop these endless Moyes threads PLEASE!!

David Moyes has untill May to turn around our Season, if in May, we are still 2nd from bottom, then he should be sacked.

Its a snickers not a sprint.

In Moyes We should ALWAYS Trust.

Love you David
