I'll tell you if you want mate...

He's a gross egotist with ideas WAY above his station who happens to think he's beyond reproach blame wise for the situation we're in....he deflects rather than accepting accountability on any level and he'll use ANY excuse possible to guide query away from his massively exposed lack of tactical acumen & nouse...

Factor into this that he has drained a decent squad of confidence and his style of play and insistence of playing to his 'philosophy' has made one of the best young defenders in the game look like he learnt to defend abaaaar 20 minutes before kick-off. He has also overseen the purchase of a player so out of his depth that he has fellow pro's feeling sorry for him yet - even now - he cannot be honest about this (is he injured or not? Why's he on the bench?...)

He is a chancer, and a fraud, and a one-trick pony who is about to be found out massively.

And the only way he can gain any kudos from me and many others (i'm sure) like me is by finding the bollocks & the integrity within to resign with immediate effect.

He won't though in all probability. Know why?

Because he's a despicable & self-absorbed fool devoid of the wherewithal to separate the wood from the trees.

Amazing, sad and absolutely correct ! I was for quite some time in the Martinez-camp but I must admit that this quite possibly is the absolute thruth. Thank you!

I still can't see why you would think he's despicable apart from you saying he is being stubborn in the way he plays, how anyone can call him despicable for being stubborn i don't know.
Maybe because he must think we are complete fools for believing in him ?

If the players have downed tools then they can stick their hands in their pockets and reimburse those that went to the game tonight to witness that debacle.

The club want £750 out of me in the next few weeks or they'll put our 3 seats on general sale, can they say they've given us our moneys worth this season & the majority of the last ?

It's a long way home when you get beat at Wembley, well I'll tell you what it's gonna be a long way there as well after not just tonight's performance but the majority that we've witnessed this season.

Agree with you all the way there mate. It's times like these I'm glad I can hardly afford petrol to put in the car for the week, let alone waste hundreds of pounds getting to Goodison and back- I would if I could.

The players for performances like that, no matter whether or not they want the manager out, should stand up and more than apologise. Remember the 9-1 Wigan loss to Spurs. They reimbursed the fans then didn't they? For me, tonight would have been equally, if not, more painful for the fans to endure. The derby means nearly, if not just as much as the upcoming game at Wembley. Simply because it's that iconic, and that intwined in the culture of the city and club. There was no pride for the badge at all tonight.

That being said though, there's something that has got us to this point. And that is Martinez's lack of nous in being able to address the issue. That issue, as could be seen by a blind dog, is the fact we can't defend. It's been a problem for the last two years, and evidently now, the players either have lost all knowledge of how to defend, or simply do not want to for the manager. As much as I want him gone, and have done for the past year, I'll admit I can't judge Martinez as a person. That's why I feel bad for him. If you were getting paid to manage a club you didn't support, and you didn't have the skills, you'd cling onto your job as long as you could.

The simple fact is, as much as the players are to blame, by changing the manager, or getting rid of the incumbent, at least the players could start to want to play again. You can replace one man, but try replacing a squad and you'll end up in the place where Villa are now.

If we act now, there's a slim chance fans' trips to Wembley won't be in vane. The way it is, there's the more than real chance that it will be.

Sums it up perfectly that does

It's gone beyond the semi now,he should be dismissed in the morning even if it means walking out at we Wembley without a manager.
Let the players sort it out themselves it's there mess as well they have lost any belief in him so let them show us what they can really do.A new man is going to make no difference now so let the senior players step up to the plate.

Great post that, mate. We all saw tonight coming, we all know what's going to happen on Saturday if Martinez remains.

Pleading with the board to do something now and at least give us some sort of hope for Saturday.

It really cannot be any worse. At least they'll play with more pride.

I genuinely think the majority are completely fed up now, and when that's the case it's always a struggle to perform.

LOL

Martinez is a cup manager, heaven help us all.

Cup?

'Crap'

Honestly the man is an utter cretin. He has absolutely no clue how to rectify things - people rightly slated the ginger whopper for surrendering a Derby pre-match - Martinez did it mid-match! Couldn't believe those substitutions. Tom Snivelley may as well have jogged on Souness-style with a big white flag the imp-sized little meff.

One of the worst Everton displays I have ever watched. That could have been double figures, and Martinez had no clue what to do about it.

Complete and utter tosh.

Should have gone 2 weeks ago..... The kit man taking over the job would give us a better chance on Sat.
Sheedy / Unsy .... couple of young ones in the squad....

Don't even want to watch the semi at this point ! Thanks Everton !
