Or should I go !
I believe that it is now time for Moyes to nail his colours to the mast and declare whether he wants to remain as Manager of Everton Football Club.
He has already made a statement saying that he feels that he has let the players down by not making any new signings. Whether he has had the money to do so is still a matter of conjecture.
However he has still not signed the bloody contract !
I am now, strangely, beginning to feel a tiny bit of sympathy for our beleaguered Chairman though God knows why ! According to various sources Moyes has had money since May/June/July. How much money is yet another subject for conjecture.
My gut feeling is that he will run his contract down and then leave for pastures new. I could not possibly blame him for doing so as he has done a fine job at the club on a shoestring budget.
This is not so much doom and gloom as just the reality of the situation !

Spot on mate. I mean how long does somebody need to sign two words on a scrap of paper? I think he definalty has one eye on the exit door, the reason's for which are unclear but I just wish he's make his mind up. Signing the contract would help steady the ship. Seems strange that he appointed Steve Round on a one year deal that will expire around the same time as his own? Maybe the two of them will jump ship next summer? Who knows?

Well, I know who I'd believe between the Everton PR machine spinning away that Moyes has had money all summer and chose not to spend it, and Moyes saying he was never in full possession of the facts about how much he has to spend until recently.

Moyes should now just concentrate on the c-list he has in front of him, keep Everton mid-table, and hope that Bullshit Billy and his band of merry pranksters in the boardroom are bought out before his contract expires.

Ok, sorry mate but I need to take issue here.

C-List? The squad we have now is no different really from the squad we had when we finished 5th. Take out AJ and Carlsey. Replaced by Rodwell and Baxter, telling you these guys are capable of being better than them, and they are ready to make that step up. Make no mistake about it.

So why would this so called bunch of C-List players end up mid table when for large parts of last season they were pushing 4th spot?

I also believe that Moyes is holding off signing his contract because he wants to wait and see what happens with the chairman, who is obviously in the process of change.

I meant the c-list of players he can purchase in the next few weeks...the one's available and for the prices this club can afford under the failing leadership of Kenwright.

There is some seriously bad spinning against Moyes across Everton forums of late. The club's little helpers are all over them doing their worst. To no avail though, as Moyes is flameproof and the board are not. (y)

I reckon your right. Ross had me as a brainwashed disciple. Funny because he told me he never goes on forums, yet in a recent email to him his slammed me for betraying his trust. Well [Poor language removed] him and his cronies. He's not Everton, Moyes epitomises Everton at the moment for me. Not Ross or some old actor.

i dont care, he's a [Poor language removed] knobhead for continuously playing neville amongst other ridiculous decisions - he can [Poor language removed] off and come back in 4 years time when nevilles [Poor language removed] off IMO

I'm not ready to blame Moyes yet for this fiasco of a summer but you are spot on mate. In times of trouble, leaders of men need to show leadership by taking action.

Action for Moyes means sign your sodding contract and bring in some new faces sharpish. Or go now (today) if you can't do that. Doing nothing weakens us more as we are marking time but the Aug 31 deadline is ticking loudly now.

If I'm an EFC player today, why should I bust a gut for a man who wont commit to the cause.

If I'm an EFC transfer target, why would I sign a contract Mr. Kenwright when your Manager wont?

Moyes may not be the reason for no signings all summer but he could remove one dark cloud hanging over us. After that the future would fall into place for good or for bad. Until then , we are stuck in limbo

What? If there is a situation going on with regards to the clubs transfer policies, this is not Moyes' fault. And anyone coming in is going to have the same issue.

Moyes has not said he won't sign the contract, he is waiting for a few little details to be sorted out first. Which basically translates to signings being made. Now Moyes doesn't make the signings, the chairman does. So if the chairman can come through with some signings worthy of Moyes standards then he'll sign the contract. If the chairman doesn't then Moyes probably wont.

He needs an indication that his ambition is being met by those in senior positions, and damn right too.

He has said that for weeks now and still no signature. And he has to realise that a player will be reluctant to sign for a club who's manager's contract is about to run out. Especially since that manager is favourite to replace managers in other clubs, SAF at ManU.

If Moyes is waiting to sign his contract until we get more players in.. then I can't see his reasoning, since most players want to sign for a club and manager that sees them in their playing system for a long future, not just a year.

Moyes need to show our current players and our transfertargets that he intends to stay here.

I'm sure if he gets Moutinho down for talks, he will definitely sign his contract.

Moyes is in the same situation as other players, he is a pawn in the big game of chess. He wants to be backed by the chairman, simple as that.

See, I thought that. Its what I have been saying all summer but he has recently been full of praise for the chairman.

So either he is lying or doesn't want to commit to the club.

For those who havent read;

"I think Everton can fulfill my ambitions because they are one of the major clubs in this country. They have showed in recent years that they are on the verge of coming back. We've done it with a far smaller budget than others, surveys have shown we're at the bottom of the wages and amounts spent on players. "Everton are a good club in a good position and the way they have done their business is really good. But I want to keep progressing. I've brought players here to fit my idea about where I want the club to go. The new training ground is another example of progress. In the main, we've improved over the last few years.
"Nothing has changed with the contract situation. I'm a little bit closer than I was at the end of last season, I'm just waiting to see how things go. We have one or two things to sort out, then I'll have a look at it.
"I wouldn't say my contract hinges on new players coming in. Obviously I want to see what happens in the next few weeks, but I wouldn't go as black and white as that."
