Should he stay or should he go?

If he was a young English kid people would be saying bin him.
Frustrating, wasteful and over-hyped.

No mate, they would be saying he's the next Rooney, worth 50mil and potentially the greatest player ever created, this will continue till he's picked for England and plays a little bit meh, in which case he wasted his chance of greateness, even if he was still only 20.
Ability matters less than hype when it comes to English players, and someone who does step overs and runs past players would be ultra hyped.

He's probably the most frustarting player I have ever seen. But thats down to age, he knows how talented he his, he just tries to hard.

He's too good not to have in the squad for next year. He can turn a 0-0 draw into a 1-0 win, ala Sunderland

He's obviously talented but not very effective, imo. Needs to learn an awful lot, and not just his kick-and-run trick, but also when to pass, to get his head up, to work harder.

He isnt good enough to play for Barcelona so i think he will be around again. His being over ambitions can be annoying but it got us 3 points at Sunderland

See the problem is, he will make mistakes, be selfish and fustrating and run down attacks when is young and will only improve. But when he does improve he won't be here.......

Would we be not better by signing a decent young lad we have scouted and give him that opportunity instead?

Happily swap him for Cuenca or Tello for a year. Been utter tripe since back from injury, which is a huge shame as he was boss pre-hamstrung.

My biggest issue with him is one I have with Baines sometimes is they don't look where there passing in the final third they just put balls into where they think players should be. It doesn't matter if you put a world class ball in the box if there's no one there to get on the end of it.

If the opportunity is there to sign a young lad we have scouted be rest assured we will sign him or attempt to. Loans will always have a part of Martinezs plans because of the financial situation we are in but if we are strong in a certain position with adequate cover then we will not loan for that position. Loans will be used to justify our needs and strengthen the squad. We will use the loan system because we can. If we were rich we wouldn't need to. Over to you Bill as you are the only one who can solve this.

But loaning in raw teenagers will not help us progress any further than we currently are in all honesty. You want your own youngster not someone else's doing that.

Personally i have not seen enough from him this season to warrant keeping him. If he improves a hell of a lot for next year then yeah sign him back if that is an option. I just don't want to use other youth players as an option when we could be developing our own.

He can be so annoying at the wrong times in certain situations, but i am glad we have him and hope he stays.still young and still so much for him to learn
