Unbelievable twaddle but all too believable in its unapologetic tone, macKenzie has been given a platform to double down on his Sun article in The Spectator.

Does this fool actually draw a parallel between himself and Mandela whilst invoking the holocaust in the same paragraph? Is there a more loathsome character currently employed by the print media establishment than this self reverential a-hole? He clearly see's himself as a Mother Theresa like character, delusion isn't a strong enough word.

Just read that second article by Mackenzie. It's like a punch drunk boxer itching to have another swing, but interestingly I think it shows what a mess he now is. He starts off having a pop at Lineker for virtue signalling, and literally in the next para he's talking about his donations to ethnic minority charities. If anyone is wallowing these days it's Kelvin, he's going down fighting and it's not going to be a pretty sight
He'd actually score a technical knock out if he raised the issue of boycotts of papers but acceptance of TV cash from the same organisation. Not that he's able to say that and implicate more of Murdoch's empire.

It's just bonkers, isn't it

I think one of the most impressive aspects of the entire article is the headline that "S*n readers are 100-to-one on my side in the confected Ross Barkley row" as if the average reader of the paper is an articulate, well balanced, well read, intelligent member of the public. History between the city and the paper aside it's an absolutely appalling paper aimed at people who need pictures to make heads or tales of the news article they are reading. I wouldn't be basing the consensus of S*n readers as credence to the appropriatness of my moral compass given these are people who buy a newspaper that over the years have had headlines such as "Freddie Starr ate my Hamster" and "How to solve a problem like Korea" with a picture of Kim Jung-il from Team America plastered across its front page

S*n journalists will be allowed at GP and Anfield for European games. say UEFA

Does that mean we will get an awful lot of backing/support from the anti EU lot in the Telegraph, Mail, Express etc.? They will be demanding 'we stand up to those European lot' and will applaud us for 'taking back control' of our football club from a monolithic European institute like UEFA.

Yeah but he only did that cos he was FORCED to.

Yes ... the Europa League is a UEFA competition and clubs are not allowed to debar accredited journalists from recognized newspapers.

Or to directly quote the Times: UEFA takes direct operational control of sponsorship, advertising and media access on match days and has the final say on who is admitted. UEFA insists on staying neutral in any disputes between clubs and outside bodies as part of its commitment to being a non-political organisation and is unwilling to facilitate bans or boycotts of any kind.

Meh. Ban them and pay whatever they fine us. I'd happily chip in.

Has he actually gone senile?

To sum it up for people who don't want to read it, he does more of the same re. Barkley then for some unknown reason briefly mentions Robert Coren making a joke about Waitrose, tells us how he used to visit brothels instead of church then makes a bizarrely irrelevant point about the holocaust.

Strange, strange man.

Was it really four years ago? Yes it was, when David Moyes was named as Manchester United's new manager on a six-year contract. The former Everton boss lasted less than a season in the role.

should probably ban the BBC whilst we're at it haha

In all seriousness I think the early signs of dementia are evident here. It's just a rambling incoherent mess, trying to draw insanely disparate elements together in a way that's so inelegant it's somewhat impressive.

Highly doubtful that Trevor Phillips sent that text. Maybe the not knowing he's a 'brother' bit but can't see him adding the self pity comment.

Not allowed to link the Mirror but I hope this is OK
