....there is often a Rizzla paper between those who make it at the top level and those who don't. The likes of Rooney come through regardless, but with others it depends on how they are handled at critical times. We will never know if those mentioned here might have come through with a different approach, but perhaps they might have had more of a chance.

Exactly, these people arguing that "Look at where they are - league one etc etc" - Cause and Effect.

Ever seen Butterfly effect? Be interesting to see how the likes of Jose Baxter, Forshaw, Duffy and many others would be now if they never had Moyes calling the shots.

Baxter for one seemed to have the lot... Moyes on Baxters move to Oldham....

"I am delighted for Jose because we offered him a contract here, he could have stayed but he chose to go," he said.
"He is a really good lad and the boy wanted to play. He had been out on loan and he was finding it a struggle because he had got into the first team very early.
"What he did need to do was go and play and I admire him for that because there are a lot of players who don't chose to do that."
