Love this song and the album it's from The Snake, one of my favourite albums. The song was written by Gerry Rafferty and I agree, Shane's version is a belter.

I didn’t know he grew up in Tipperary, not far from where my Gran is from in Roscrea. He also went to the same school as me in London which I also only found out today.
