Don't really know what to say. You can get a new job and, hopefully, Jacob will make a full recovery and lead a normal life but no words can bring your nephew back.

Just wanna say, whatever you have affecting you, try to get the most out of it, make the best of it, because one day, if you get a bad run like I've just had, it ain't good.

Be thankful for what you have got.

Spot on mate.

Really feel for you Paul, but remember, you are at a low point now, there is only one way and that is up. When I feel down I come on here and although don't post much I always get a laugh.

:(

Back in September, my young relative Jacob (find the Alder Hey Thread) was born with a severe dysfunction of the bowel, and he spent months that a baby should ever have to suffer with. (n)

Then, and you won't know this until now, at the beginning of December, my young nephew, at only 16 years of age was found dead at his home, my twin sister's son, of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. We still don't know the full cause, but this ripped our family to shreds with the sorrow. Only 16, ffs. :( (n)

And today, as a manager of a Jessops store (not Liverpool, but Blackpool) my company has closed it doors forever due to administration proceedings, and I'm gonna be out of a job within a week, and I have had to explain to my staff that they too, are redundant. (n)

Been the sh1ttiest of times.

Just wanna say, whatever you have affecting you, try to get the most out of it, make the best of it, because one day, if you get a bad run like I've just had, it ain't good.

Only saving grace is the future can hold something better if I can find it.

Let's hope a top 5 position for the Toffees is one of the good reasons for me to be looking forward to as well... (y)

Rant over.

Paul.

You have my deepest sympathy for what that's worth....as for NSFW you do yourself an injustice It should be mandatory for work to show all the whinging sods who hate their job and hate their lifes, mostly on facebook on the works dime. that they don't know they are born.

don't go gently etc..... and I know you'll never go to either darkside

I hope you and your family have a much better year than the one you just had mate. Really hope you can find something positive to go forward with.

Sudden ADULT death syndrome? Didnt even know this existed but you have my deepest sympathies....Lets hope the blues can put a smile back on your face

I also was unaware of SADS. At the very least, you have educated a few of us.

My company collapsed the day after the twin towers fell. What happened in NYC put my troubles into perspective, and I just shrugged & soldiered on. Onwards & upwards I improved my lot in life, and then Black Saturday went like a steam train through Victoria, and nearly took me with it! After a near death experience like that, I needed to refocus on what were the important things to me & my family.

So, I took the family to Disneyland & refocused on the really important things.

We're all different & all anonymous here, but we share a common passion. Not all of our thoughts & comments will be appropriate to your needs at this time but in GOT, you have an outlet and a few sympathetic ears. Good luck in your career endeavours, and let us know how it works out for you.
