Said for years we always have to sell our best players to fund our summer spend and this year we don’t have a big name to get rid of and the truth is now coming out. Hopefully more honesty from the club in future

The Squads no bigger than it has been for years. It’s just that now there isn’t a stones or a lukaku to sell we are having to sell numerous players to compensate rather than one

Because we've got too many players, not because we're skint. Don't twist this to follow your agenda. Of all the people I'd have pegged to make this thread, you'd be top of the list. We need to offload a ton of players, that's just basic footballing sense. We HAVE to reduce the wage bill and squad size.

We need to offload a ton of players, that's just basic footballing sense. We HAVE to reduce the wage bill and squad size.

Like I’ve already said, there is no way in a million years. Brands & Silva come here with no money. Sorry guys but it’s sell to buy. There will be money, how much is anyone’s guess.

The squad size is no different than it has been for years. You carry on believing the club has serious money

The squad size may well be the same but the wage bill isn't. It's shot up disproportionately and has to be reduced to allow us to get the quality in we need. That's an FFP/sensible budgeting matter not a "we're skint" matter. 7/10 of the first team squad is also tripe, so they have to be moved on regardless.

Virtually every club is sell to buy, it doesn’t mean a lot. We have money to spend but we got fleeced last year because teams knew that. He is playing down expectations and how much we have so it doesn’t happen again.

We also have a massive squad for a club that doesn’t have Europe with a lot of deadwood and players that are stupidly paid underperformers. He is basically saying we have players to sell, come and get them. Helps with ffp and trims the fat.
