Engelse clubs willen Cissé Van onze Telesportredactie

English clubs interested in signing Cissé. Cissé's current club Roda is negotiating with both Feyenoord as FC Twente over a transfer of their player, but it doesn't look like it will be resolved anytime soon. In the meantime the player has also attracted attention from England. Both Everton and Portsmouth have contacted Roda about their interest in Cissé. The Ivorian spoke about his preference for Feyenoord, but has seemingly already signed a pre-contract agreement with FC Twente. Because Cissé has a few different agents working for him, the situation has become very complicated.

Don't know what to make of this. Seems a more than decent player in the Dutch league, but I highly doubt he could handle the Premiership.

I think it will be a bad thing to bring in another African continent player with the next cup coming up soon. That would be three of our strikers alone gone mid season if we signed him with both Yakubu and Victor, not to mention losing Pienarr and Yobo too. With a squad our size I just think that will be to much to see go half way through a season.

Paul, I might be wrong, but I think Pienaar is staying. I'm sure SA didn't qualify.

Don't think a striker is Moyes' top priority this summer. If we already had strengthened our midfield this summer I'd give this rumour more credibility. But at this point I think it's bogus.(n)
