Free right sided midfielder -- Good quality player in my opinion with 30+ caps.

I believe that without ANY transfers out of the club (other than Vaughan) we need;

2 Forwards -- Ba on a free perhaps
2 wide midfielders -- Larsson on a free perhaps
1 Backup left back (Bidwell/Garbutt?)

If we can build a 'warchest' through selling;

Pienaar (Gone)
Vaughan (Gone)
Yobo (Going)
Yakubu (Going)
Saha (LCAB hinted we 'may' be left with just Beckford in attack -- I hope!)
Anichebe (unlikely to go, but I can dream)
Bilyaletdinov (Possibly offloaded back to Russia)

We'd not really need to replace ANY of these players....4 of whom have not been with us in 2011....1 always injured....1 never plays and 1 is utter ****e.

What I'm saying is, signing Ba and Larsson would mean any monies left over from selling 7 (YES SEVEN) players could potentially go into transfer fees for 2 players -- the notoriously expensive positions of winger and Forward....close to 20mil for those 7.

Also selling 7 players would free up wages which could be used for the 2 free agents and their signing on fees over the course of the first season could be added into their weekly wage.

There would be a generous transfer kitty and a generous wage available to fill winger+forward positions.

I just dont think Larsson is very good. Fairly average at best.

Makes sense to snap up someone on a free but im not to sure about him.

Have the guys saying he's crap seen him play?

A very good player in my opinion.....not going to be a world beater but definitely a quality player.....

Wide midfield we have

Arteta -- Left midfield or Central
Gueye -- Young player finding his position
Coleman -- Should be right back soon enough

I'd take Larsson in a flash....and Ba....2 frees leaving us for transfer funds for a class winger and a forward.

Got a decent delivery, especially from set pieces but not sure about his overall game. He'd be a good squad player but we need players to improve our first team.

I think he's average, and can we really afford to pay the wages of someone we don't really need? We all know we're crying out for a LM/LW, I would rather the £ was spent there.

Technically he is great, just lacks speed to make him a great player I think

On a free, I'd take him. Don't think he'd want crazy wages, doesn't appear to be a ted either

If he chooses Newcastle or Sunderland, then I never wanted him anyway kind of thing....

Larsson would be a sideways step and a squad filler, showing that we have little to no intent of improving the squad, rather that we're looking to secure top-half status for the next five years.

It depends on what you want from Everton. If you want to challenge for European places, we should be swerving this kind of player.

I know what you mean....sadly you could argue, he helped getting Birmingham a Euro spot....but yes, he also helped them get relegated, ha

I wouldn't want him to be hailed as the Saviour, good squad player though, no diggity

I have seen him play a few times and in general I have been underwhelmed by his performances.Good at freekicks and corner kicks,lacks pace and I don't think he is better than what we have already.
A squad filler at best and would just be another mouth to feed...in terms of wages.

I think that next year Baxter would offer as much as Larrson.
