2023/24 Sean Dyche

The 3 week break should not only focus on the players, but give this Brexit voting toad time to self reflect on what clearly isn’t working.

He comes back and there’s a clear change, then good for him. It’ll show he is capable of changing and it’ll benefit the club in the long run.

He doesn’t, then he simply deserves the dinosaur manager tag and he can happily seek employment at another club
Absolutely, so if you were the manager with what players would set up the next match?

Probably have 10 shots from. 30yards out in the 2nd half, And the stat virgins can say look how many shots we had. If only we had Bobby Charlton, who was pretty good from 30 yards out
Don't forget about the 5 shots off corner mayhem, each of which is some combination of a header or the ball spinning rapidly arriving off a deflection, where they all get at least 0.25 xG because they're from so close to the goal and the difficulty with scoring is not the defense's positioning, but controlling where the ball goes.

The 4-4-1-1 isn’t working, it’s as clear as day. The chance creation is poor (not those half chances or pit shots from the edge of the box), we don’t have runners in the box when break or win losses back, we don’t overload the wide areas or have fullbacks who bomb forward to create space.

will think he’ll change, nope. He plays fine margins and this formation and way of playing gives him that.

Respectfully, sick and tired of this ‘his job is to keep us up’ BS

With Luton, Sheffield United and Burnley in the league, even Stevie Wonder can keep this team up. Don’t understand why people make out it’s mission impossible.

If we had our 6 points back relegation wouldn't be a concern on anyone's minds.

Dyche is doing a decent job factoring in the lack of investment and points deduction.

Of this there is no doubt. If literally staying up is his target then he's doing a decent job.

My worry though is he's creating no future for himself because of his bizarre style of attacking. No creation of pressure. Instead just 'moments', which is often harps on about.

If Di Zerbi can get a tune out of Solly March, we should look far more fluent than is currently being served up.

No decent managers wins 1 from his last 14 regardless of the players or circumstances. Dyche is more suited for an actual relegation club not Everton. We could do with poaching an up and coming manager like De Zerbi, Gary Oneil, or the guy from Bournemouth. Are you honestly telling me Wolves have a better squad than us?

Agree needs to be working on more formations so we can adapt not just the one striker for another.

3-5-2 with Tarkowski, Branthwaite and Mykolenko as the 3. Patterson RWB and McNeil LWB. Onana and one other as cms. Doucoure slightly in front breaking forward. DCL and Beto up top until Danjuma comes back - then swap him in for one of the CFs.

There’s no way if he plays 3 CB’s keane’s not playing. Myko and young wing backs. Onana, gana and garner in midfield
Harrison or doucoure behind one striker is what dyche would do.

I agree. That's because he's a moron. My point being, it wouldn't take much to get more out of this side. Christ, he could even play the same system and start Patterson at RB and actually tell his fullbacks to overlap and we'd be better.

But he won't and we'll continue to stink the gaff out and go down.

Yes I said this the other day, we have a poor front 3/4 but it doesn’t help they basically attack on their own and up against 7/8 of the opposition. Liverpool obviously have much better forwards, but if Klopp only attacked with 3 or 4 players, they’d score less goal, that just stands to reason.
