If it wasn't for the 10 point deduction we'd be 12th, a feat not achieved by this club for some time. Under duress and limited investment.

He's been good, who else would have got us playing so effectively? Whos this mythical manager that could get this squad playing like the brazillian all stars.
It’s embarrassing our fans think we have crap players that can only play this way. And who mentioned Brazil. There’s loads of young managers out there, look what the Bournemouth manager has done in 4 months, they came to goodison in October lost 3-0 try to play out from
The back our fans laughing, you should be booting it long lad, don’t mess about with it at the back. Now they’re on a good run scoring goals playing attacking football and all in 4 months.

And you would replace him with whom?

Assuming we are still in the PL, which is a big if, who would be your target to replace him?

Genuinely interested.
A young manager who wants to play attacking football and try and win games. Not have one plan and that is don’t conceade a goal , his after match interview yesterday first thing he mentioned was the clean sheet.

We have a DOF who gets paid a lot of money to find these managers, he wanted Corberan not dyche who’s going a good job at West Brom, Bournemouth have found a good manager who’s got them playing good attacking football in 4 months

I like the sound of that.

Trouble is we would have to get such a man very early.

Once he had some success he would be getting better offers.

Who is this young manager? Could he deal with a squad like we have with little hope of reinforcements.

We dont have the luxury of messing around with pretty football with the points deduction and chances of another. We need results instead of style points.

I said get rid in the summer not right now. And what’s this pretty football, do you mean attacking football, what most of the top 10 teams play. And we will need reinforcements in the summer no matter what, ok maybe that means Onana going and few others, DCL? , Pickford?. But if we don’t do anything we will have about 15 players and it won’t matter who the manager is next season.

I agree this time last year we would have lost this game comfortably. I was underwhelmed with the 2nd half display. I did feel he could have put some more fresh legs on last 20. Seamus and Doucoure have had long lay offs and we looked leggy. But the team kept their shape and Villa struggled to fashion clear openings. The energy we started with we could have fashioned a couple of goals early doors. That been said they are one of the better teams in the league this season so it was a point gained not lost at the end of the day. On another note DCL desperately needs a goal. I’m confident he can get back to the levels he shown in September and October.

Dyche has performed well and will not (or shouldn't) be sacked until the performances are unacceptable.

He obviously has based a game plan on what resources he has, who's to say with more attacking players and the point deduction hanging over his head he wouldn't play more attacking football. He is being pragmatic with what he has. He has got pretty attacking football from Harrison, McNeil et al granted our possession numbers are pretty low but generally we have been hard to crack.

I guess that is the point where we are as a club is we are going to have poor games, and in the previous couple of years we'd have cracked.

Crawl before we can walk i guess. little improvements.

He was at Burnley for 10yrs and never changed his style. And you will say he had no money well he brought in 150mil and could have used that to buy a different type of player, Moyes did it at Everton with no money. Do you think if we had started yesterday’s game with 26points and in 12th he sets up differently? Problem is he’s had 10yrs at Burnley when he’s only job was to keep them in the prem. and I’m not sure he can change from that mindset

Also Harrison and McNeil are not pretty footballers. There biggest strengths are hard work from an attacking points of view they’re bottom half prem players. Both slow hardly ever go past a full back, scored 2 goals each, and occasionally put in a good crosss or pass. Imagine us getting 65/70 for Onana and dyche wanting us to spend 25 on Harrison 🙈

He is winning me over, we are competitive in majority of games but for me a real plus has been instilling standards at Finch farm again. I don't think we've had that since Moyes. We've felt very disconnected from the team over recent seasons but Dyche has everyone pulling in the same direction.

Seamus calls it old school values and I think it was needed here. Too many were happy to go through the motions week in week out and not giving their all. We fight now. We're lacking a bit of quality but to be fair to Dyche we should be comfortably 12thish.
